Voters nearly had a chance to gut the ‘mansion tax.’ Now, L.A. approves $544 million in spending

L.A. City Council has approved a $544-million spending plan for Measure ULA funds during the 2026 fiscal year, including $381 million for affordable housing initiatives and $163.3 million for homelessness prevention programs.
